Lanson Champagne Blend Champagne Brut Rosé Rose Label NV
91 points Wine Spectator: An elegant, berry- and citrus-infused bubbly, very fresh and lively, with an intensity that carries through to the long, long aftertaste. Lovely expression. 'Editors' Choice,' Wine Enthusiast: Lansons Black Label is one of the most familiar Champagne brands, well known for its rich but dry style. It needs some bottle age--as has happened with this bottling--to soften the crispness. The wine is rounded out with toast, puff pastry and freshened with apple skins. (Dec 2009)
Pours a very subtle salmon pink colour but with fine bubbles. The taste is sweet initially before a slight sour kick comes in and the flavour (although not that flavousome if truth be told) of biscuit and nuts. Not a bad rose but not a thrilling one either.
Very biscuit-y nose. Very nutty and biscuit-y throughout - peaches and soft fruits. Moderate level of sugar keeps it very soft, and reins in the good acidity. Still retains its crisp finish, yet isnt as searing as many. Very approachable and enjoyable.
A NIOCE CHANPAGNE , AN EASY DRINKING ONE, NOT TOO DRY
