Langmeil the 1843 Freedom Shiraz Barossa Valley 2002

Winemaker's Notes:

93 points Wine Enthusiast: ...first... planted in 1843... the fruit is dry-grown, handpicked --treated with all the care that a winery's flagship bottling gets. Has an alluring putty note on the nose, and smooth, fine tannins on the palate. Concentration is excellent, and the plum and berry fruit pure and ripe. Finishes with a surge of tannins. Delicious. (Mar 2005)

Without contradiction, Langmeil wines are ‘cutting edge old school’ quality Barossa wine. Read less
