Winemaker's Notes:

The 2006 Merlot is a blend of two vineyards in two appellations - 70% Clarksburg Appellation and 30% Lodi Appellation. The individual vineyards give unique characteristics to the overall blend of the finished wine. 15 months of French and American oak aging and extended maceration add layers of concentrated flavors. This full-structured wine with softness carries a focused ripe-blackberry aroma and a light berry note on the palate. This initial richness is further enhanced with a cocoa powder essence, smooth tannins, and a broad mouth feel, which lingers in a long finish.
