Langetwins Merlot Lodi 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

WINE STYLE These wines are fashioned in a traditionalist style. Each of the varietals are harvested and crafted into wines independently in order to maintain the varietal and vineyard characteristics unique to each grape. They are then thoughtfully blended together and barrel-aged to yield a complex, finished wine rich with flavor yet still true to its varietal integrity. WINEMAKER NOTES Rich black cherry fruit with notes of chocolate and vanilla spice from oak aging create a welcoming aroma. The tannin, more complex and broader due to the blending of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, leaves the impression of a wine with weight but no rough edges and blankets the palate with a soft, velvety finish. WINE STATISTICS Appellation: California Alcohol: 13.5% pH: 3.48 Acidity: 0.62 g / 100ml Winegrowers: Randall Lange, Bradford Lange Winemaker: David Akiyoshi
