Lange Estate Winery Pinot Noir "Freedom Hill Vineyard" 2008
External Reviews for Lange Estate Winery Pinot Noir "Freedom Hill Vineyard"
Lange Estate Winery has been sourcing fruit from the Freedom Hill Vineyard since 1990 and began making its namesake single-vineyard Pinot Noir in 1996. Typically, fruit from this vineyard produces structured wines with higher acidity and a more prominent tannin profile, making it one of their most age-worthy wines. This 2008 is a classic. An extremely limited production of only 250 cases, aged in 50% new French oak for 12 months. The Wine Spectator scored it 92 points and said "Tightly formed, with a layer of fine tannins around a light, vibrant core of black cherry, roasted meat and mineral flavors, hovering nicely on the long, seductive finish. Drink now through 2018."
