Lange Estate Winery Chardonnay "Three Hills Cuvee" 2009
Lange Estate Winery is pleased to debut this Chardonnay, a stunning blend from three premiere vineyards in the Northern Willamette Valley -- Lange Estate Vineyard , Freedom Hill Vineyard , and Durant Vineyards. Each site is a distinctive expression of its relative terroir with different soil types, elevations, and clonal selections. In combination, these vineyards lend specific and unique characteristics to a masterfully integrated blend crafted by winemakers Don Lange and Jesse Lange. Dubbed “Lingerie Chardonnay” by Jesse Lange, this wine is fermented partially in stainless steel (naked) and neutral French oak (lightly cloaked), lending it richness while maintaining the crisp acidity for which Lange white wines are known. The high-toned nose displays hints of lush peach and cantaloupe, with accents of lime zest and flint. The round, rich palate bursts with dried passionfruit, green pear, and melon, with appealing notes of pomelo, almond, and sweet basil. The finish is long and lush with crisp acidity. This Chardonnay demands your attention from first sip to supple finish and is truly a wine not to be missed!
