I thought this was a very pretty, elegant Cab Franc. Nose predominantly of sour cherry and a great, strong presence of bell pepper. Very smooth after an hour or so of decanting, a real treat. Palate sour cherry with a hint of almost fake strawberry, like strawberry candy (those ones with the liquid center). If it's one dimensional or stereotypically Cab Franc, it makes up for it with its elegance and smoothness.

Winemaker's Notes:

Splashing brilliant red color, hues of blue and violet reflect in the glass. The intense perfume, a hallmark of Cabernet Franc, is laden with floral essence, cherry fruit and delicate dried herbs. Flavors coalesce in a voluptuous mix of sweet cherries toned with light vanilla and edged with crisp, cherry pit delight. These hedonistic flavors are ever so gently balanced with soft, fine-grained tannins and good acidity drawing out a yummy finish.
