Landshut Riesling 2009
Found this at our Aldi store. Was so pleasantly surprised at the taste of this sweet full body wine. Now claiming it as my favorite goto for every occasion. Prices does not always insure a good wine. At $4.99 a bottle we will be having this often for sure. Love it!Add winemaker's notes

Bought this on a whim, really enjoyed it. Very affordable.
For $4.99 at Aldi we think we found a gem. A 2009 Riesling not a bad deal for the money. I would not give this as a gift but if I wanted to grab a bottle to pair with Hunan Shrimp leftovers... this was the perfect treat.
Great clear, simple wine great value!!
This wine is a staple in my shopping list. It tastes superior to the 18 dollar bottle I used to call my favorite. It's replaced my old pinot as well just because I prefer it so much.
For six and a half bucks a bottle at Aldi's, I would say that this is a significant value for the Riesling drinker. The Landshut Mosel didn't have the sickeningly sweet flavor of other Rieslings, but maintained a nice, almost Granny Smith apple tone. I'd give it four wine glasses out of five. It's really a good, affordable table wine.
