External Reviews for Landmark Pinot Noir Grand Detour
The 1999 Pinot Noir Grand Detour Van der Kamp Vineyard (750 cases) possesses terrific fruit intensity as well as sweet aromas of pepper, cherry syrup, smoke, underbrush, strawberry, and dried tangerines. This full-bodied, sweet (from extract and ripeness, not sugar), long Pinot Noir has completely absorbed its new oak. It has a floral quality reminiscent of certain premier and grand crus from the hillsides of Vosne-Romanee. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
