The nose has faint rose petal and lychee notes, but it's the honeydew melon, ginger, and blood orange aromas that demand the most attention here.Medium-to-full bodied and dry, the flavors closely match the nose with loads of melon and ginger with rose petals in the background. At 13.9% ABV, this is a hefty wine for the region, but it's not heavy or disjointed.

The nose has faint rose petal and lychee notes, but it's the honeydew melon, ginger, and blood oranges that really stand out. Medium-to-full bodied and dry, the flavors are similar with loads of melon and ginger with just subtle rose petals in the background. At 13.9% ABV, this is a hefty wine for the region, but it's not heavy or disjointed. Thai food is the cliche pairing for gewurzt, but I actually think it works perfectly with this one.

This fulsome white has a pronounced floral scent, suggesting rose and honeysuckle. Its richness fills the middle palate, the modest sweetness contributing concentration before a long finish marked by flower petal savor. There’s plenty of complexity apparent, but the wine will benefit from another six months to a year of bottle age.

A superb Riesling, bursting with honeysuckle, tangerine and apricot aromas, followed by a honeyed softness on the palate. The semi-dry sweetness makes this perfect for pairing with summer pasta and cheese salads. Food pairing: Asian, spicy foods Flavor type: fruit-forward Body type: light-medium Finish: crisp

This is intriguing on the nose, with loads of fresh apple and floral perfume merged with darker tones of petrol and pine needles. Off-dry in style, it’s lush and fruity, with ample melon and stone-fruit flavors. It finishes dry, with a splash of citrusy acidity.

A light, breezy style, with modest green apple and green fig notes that lead to a friendly finish. Drink now.

As famous as the Finger Lakes are for their Rieslings, I found the Gewurztraminers to be the highlights of my trip. This one has an astonishingly floral nose; it's silky-smooth on the palate with a clean, dry finish. A great food wine.

Smoky, spicy flavors dominate this dry gewurztraminer. A tailor-made fit for Chinese food and pork roast.

Winemaker's Notes:

An exotic blend of floral, fruit and spice. Seductive and inviting, the wine's flavors are delicate, focusing on ginger and ripe citrus fruit. Deceptively sweet from the alcohol, this semi-dry offering finishes smooth with just a hint of the traditional Gewurztraminer bite. Pairs beautifully with spicy or hot Asian and Mexican cuisines and with most any cheese.
