External Reviews for Lamoreaux Landing Cabernet Franc T23
This Loire-style Cabernet Franc is soft and smooth, with flavors of mocha and red fruits and a smooth finish. Enjoy with a charcuterie plate.
Of Mark Wagner's red varieties, Cabernet Franc manages better than do (their very small lots of) Pinot Noir or Merlot to balance the toast, cocoa, and tannin imparted by the barrel, but his avowedly "unoaked" 2007 Cabernet Franc T23 fares best of all. Scented with fresh black berry and cedar, it bursts in the mouth with fresh black fruit juices spiced with sassafras and nutmeg, and finishes with exuberant, overtly fruity persistence. The track record shows that this will be lovely to follow over at least the next 2-3 years.
