This cuvée, "Les Loups", is declassified "Clos des Lambrays" - the coveted Grand Cru of the Lambrays estate. It's declassified because the age of the vines is only from a replanted parcel from the 1980s. We'll toast to these "young" vines anytime!

Winemaker's Notes:

90-94 points Fine Wine Review: The Morey 1er Cru 'Les Loups' includes vines of the Clos des Lambrays that are less than 26 years old. The wine shows greater intensity than the village wine in its dark fruit nose and in the mouth is deep, pure, and slightly spicy with a smooth texture and plenty of elegance. (Issue #114; 2006)
