Bodegas Lagunilla is a historic winery founded in 1885 by Don Felipe Lagunilla San Martin in Rioja, Spain. Lagunilla is credited with leading the Spanish charge to replant vines grafted with American rootstock to ward off Phylloxera during the late 19th century crisis. Today, the winery is committed to adhering to Rioja traditions while using the latest innovations in wine technology.

Ruby color, very light and smooth body Subtle notes of oak with bolder, juicy raspberries, cherries and black pepper. Still could use some age to smooth some tannins Long-lasting Strawberry and plum finish

Four and a half glasses

This wine is aged for two years in oak casks and another three years in the bottle before it is released. The mahogany color and vanilla and leather aromas come from the Rioja Alta wine region, that has a long, rich ripening season.
