Lagavulin 16 Yr Distillers Edition Single Malt Scotch 2012
Had this during a trip in Brussels. I went back instantly to survivalsessions years ago in the Belgian woods. Smokey, peaty, lots of flavors are battling to be recognized, smoothand impressive. Not everbody's friend I guess but it seems I'm a sucker for the Islay's whiskys..

The 16-year-old Lagavulin is smoky and peaty with some fruit flavors. It is full-bodied yet very balanced by spice and herbal notes.
Powerful, peat-smoke aroma. Robustly full bodied, well-balanced and smooth with a slight sweetness on the palate.
