Add your reviewA perfumey nose of sweet, wild strawberries and mossy earth with a well balanced body of medium tannins - complex notes of melon, pomegranate, blackberry and blueberry with chocolate and leather on the palette, with a cool, round finish of raspberry, caramel and plum.
Still tastes great and most of the tannins are smoothed out now. Decanted 1 hr. Nose of ripe blackberries, a little more subdued than the last bottle about a year ago. The palate remains smooth and balanced with more pronounced blue and black fruits like huckleberry, with notes of cherries, milk chocolate and earth. Great finish of blueberry and orange rind.

Légende R rouge Bordeaux AOC 2007 - Barons de Rothschild: Der 2007er ist ein bemerkenswerter Jahrgang, nach einem verregneten Sommer mit wenig Sonne wurde es im September und Oktober ungewöhnlich warm und es blieb trocken. Davon profitierte besonders der Cabernet Sauvignon. Die Qualität der Böden, die Pflege der Rebstöcke und die strenge Auslese der Trauben bei der Ernte waren die Grundlage für einen eindrucksvollen roten Bordeaux, der den Namen Rothschild zu Recht trägt. Am Ende entstand ein Wein von purpurroter Farbe mit dunklen Reflexen. Ein intensives und aromatisches Bukett mit kraftvollen Aromen überreifer Früchte (Johannisbeere, Himbeere) zu denen sich Lakritze gesellt. Auf der Zunge ist er kräftig und voluminös, mit reifen, seidigen Tanninen.
