Lafarge Bourgogne Passetoutgrain l'Exception 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

88 points John Gilman: The Cuvée Exception bottling of Passetoutgrains is made from a very old parcel of vines on the Meursault-Volnay border, with this wine occupying a very important historical place for the domaine... the 2011 is really a lovely wine, offering up a complex nose of cherries, a touch of plum, dark soil tones, woodsmoke and a touch of raw cocoa in the upper register. .. medium-full, fresh and very pure, with good mid-palate depth, very modest tannin and a long, tangy finish. Lovely juice... Drink: 2013-2020.
