Ladera Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
The 2009 Ladera Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon produced a fruit driven wine with an intense nose and flavors, great texture and seamless balance. Aromas of ripe plum and black cherries are complimented with notes of cedar and anise. The palate is layered with black fruits, sweet oak spice and ripe tannins that linger to a long velvety finish.
The Ladera story has many facets; each very important to us and our heritage. We focus on our wines but you can’t talk about wine without knowing about the winemaking and there would be no winemaking without a winery. Our 1886 stone winery is our history and its foundation supports the balance of our efforts.
The best value Cabernet that I have ever had in the $30 price range. Fantastic nose of flowers and black fruits. A mountain wine from the fantastic Howell AVA of Napa. Silky tannins and a smooth and layered finish leave you wanting more and more. Some spice notes on the finish. Just an amazing value at this price point! My first Ladera wine...and it will not be my last! Cheers!
I loved this fruit-forward cab. Smooth and full-bodied. Prune, black cherry.
