The second wine of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste. Beautiful: lush cassis and elegant tannins. Lacoste-Borie is the second label of the Château Grand Puy Lacoste, a fifth classified Grand Cru in Pauillac owned by the Borie family. The 220 acres of vines consist primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The juice is fermented in stainless steel vats and then vinified in French oak barrels (50% new) for 18 months. 2004 is an excellent vintage for Lacoste-Borie, The Wine Spectator gave it a 91/100 rating.
