Pours a deep golden colour but didn't taste like I expected. The buttery side of Burgundy I like was not as evident here and in fact had a more tropical fruit taste to it. The initial sweetness is really strong, then the fruit kicks in before giving way to a quite strong bitterness while swallowing. Its a real contrast of flavours all round which although is fine for a glass may not please with further drinking.
