A fresh, pure, stony rosé, with dried cherry, rose petal and watermelon notes that stay focused on the finish. Drink now.
The 2008 La Vieille Ferme Côtes du Ventoux rosé is surprisingly good. I realize the country's rosé sales are slacking off at this time of year, but if you live in a warmer climate, this is a serious rosé offering plenty of fruit and framboise characteristics in an elegant, light to medium-bodied style. It can be enjoyed over the next 6-9 months.
What a pleasant surprise! Interwoven into the texture of this French rosé, along with dazzling fruit and bright floral aromas, are notes of caramel, toffee and even a touch of cane sugar! A unique blend of Grenache and Cinsault, with a wonderfully full and rich body. At this price, it's a complete steal for summer parties, barbecues and relaxing afternoons (if such things do exist).
Dark cherry in color, with tasty cherry, ripe strawberry and mineral notes that all weave through the fresh finish. Lively and tasty. Drink now.
The Perrin family, with its long tradition of winemaking, consistently turn out delicious bargain-priced wines from the Côtes du Ventoux. This rosé blends cherries and chocolate with citrus and even touches of minerality and length rare in a $9 wine. Drink now.
A fresh, enticing rosé, with tasty cherry, spice and warm stone notes that stay bright through the finish. Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Drink now.
