La Tour Château Grand Moulin Rosé 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

Ch. Batailley is one of our (and our customers') perennial favourites, and in
2006 this is once again one of the best value wines in Bordeaux. It is
quintessential Pauillac with layers of creamy, ripe blackcurrant and plum fruit
and hints of mint. Batailley's 2006 is not a blockbuster but it is rich,
generous and stylish for the vintage and should age extremely well. Another
triumph from owner Philippe Castéja. Drink: 2012-2020.

Wood apparent - wine is tight. Blackcurrant core and a touch of green pepper.

12 dol. only.....first I thought it was a joke and then I realize it was a fantastic opportunity. Beautiful Syrah/Grenache/Carignan Blend. Very good structure, firm and silky tannins, ripe black fruits and a real taste of the South. I can't wait to taste the rest of the range. Roussillon was a very good idea Michel Chapoutier, congrats !!!

The color is dense blackberry with purple at the rim, and the aoma is pure, fine and subtly scented black fruit. The taste is fresh and firmly defined by elevated tannin and acidity. There is an attractive underlying textural feel. A stylish and very well balanced wine. Robert Parker 89. Tasted from barrel April '07.

This feminine-styled wine is more similar to a St.-Julien than a Pauillac. A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot, the deep ruby/purple-tinged 2006 Haut-Batailley offers up sweet aromas of b... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2006 Haut Batailley 750ml
