What to Expect

Riesling is a chameleon of a grape, able to produce world class wines that range from bone dry to unctuously sweet. Germany is most closely associated with Riesling, where all styles are made and the range of flavors runs the gamut from steely and crisp with crunchy mineral-driven flavors to fresh lime, apple and peach flavored expressions - even rich honied, candied fruit tones in the great dessert wines.

Winemakers Notes

What did Rogov say?La Terra Promessa, Emerald Riesling, 2005 (Advance Tasting): Developed entirely in stainless steel tanks, this crisp and refreshing white may lack sophistication of complexity but it also thankfully lacks the floral and often cloying sweetness of most local wines from this variety. On the nose and palate enough minerals and citrus peel that you might think you were drinking a Petit Chablis. Believe me, that is a compliment! A very good choice for everyday quaffing. Meant for young drinking. Drink from release. Score 85.
