La Tancia Chianti 2009

External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:

Chianti is without a doubt one of the worldrsquo;s most popular and versatile wines. This particular winery has been in operation since 1743 and has been passed down to family members throughout the generations. Light in color, the 2007 Chianti is earthy on the nose, but the flavors really open up on the palate. Nuances of strawberry and cherry are present, with a touch of leather on the finish.

A simple Chianti that never fails to delight with ripe cherry flavors, spice, and a soft texture that never comes off as bitter or tart. Perfect with pizza or red sauce, but really nice with roast chicken or pork chops.

A true Tuscany treasure with all the right stuff you expect and want from a good Chianti. This gem has the ripe cherry, leather, cedar, spice-box aroma and the taste profile of black currants and cassis with a touch of vanilla. A wonderful match with red meats, pasta dishes in tomato based sauces and firm fish like a thick swordfish grilled and drizzled with olive oil.

From an estate that was established in 1743, this is a delightful Chianti for everyday drinking. It will be great at a picnic or while sitting on the patio watching the grass grow.
