The perfect summer backyard and patio wine, Moscato d'Asti is 'frizzante', redolent with the heady perfume of Muscat grapes. Its delicate sweetness and low alcohol makes this refreshing to sip on its own or together with various fruits.

I had the good fortune to have been introduced to this fantastic wine at The French Laundry. While the food wasn't memorable, the last wine of our wine pairing was. Normally I don't have dessert wine, and I wasn't really expecting much. The La Spinetta Moscato d'Asti Bricco Quaglia was paired with a dark chocolate mousse cake and upon first taste I was in heaven. Party in my mouth. It goes well with a variety of desserts (and even fruit), and is a pleasure all on it's own. If you have typical Asian tastebuds or prefer fruity less alcoholic wines, this may be the wine for you.

Very light wine and very fruity. It is kind of like high quality of juice, but it is very refreshing. If you are looking for a full body with a lot of flavors and layers, this may not be what you are looking for. But it is a pretty good one to serve as refreshment. I purchased $30 for 2, pretty good deal.
