Visted this vinyard in Naples, Italy where I fell in-love with this wine. Not an overbearing wine and no strong aftertaste. Nice and smooth. Recommend for a nice, red, dinner wine.

This is an unoaked red wine from the Southern Italian region of Campania. Made from the indigenous Piedirosso grape variety, this still, dry wine is driven by wildflower and raspberry flavors. A great companion for grilled meats.

Winemaker's Notes:

From the Piedirosso grape from vineyards in the volcanic area known as the Campi Flegrei, on the coast just north of Naples. It is ruby red in color tending toward burgundy with aging, with an intensive and characteristic fragrance and a harmonious palate impression. It combines well with shellfish, soup, or first or second course meat dishes.
