User Reviews for La Sibilla Falanghina Campi Flegrei

Winemaker's Notes:

This bright, fresh-tasting wine is made from the Falanghina grape in the area known as the Campi Flegrei, on the coast just north of Naples. It is pale yellow in color with a greenish glint, smells like wildflowers with harmonious palate impression, and complements antipasti and all manner of seafood. Fine Wine Review: The vineyards here are just north of Naples and on the coast, and so they are sandy and able to support these ungrafted vines. The result is a smooth, but firm wine with roses in the nose, a silky texture, and dark, slightly earthy fruit in the mouth. A good wine for pizza and tomato-based pasta sauces... (Issue #134; 2011)
