La Rasina Rosso di Montalcino 2004

Member Review by Nicki Gig:

Earthy dusty like nose, little to no fruit on the nose Great Dark fruit on the palate, spicy with dried currants, dark chocolate, and earth. Dark, deep, bold, and spicy Smooth balanced dark chocolatey, with the potential to age more.

Shows blackberries, with hints of minerals and dried flowers on the nose. Intense aromas. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long, long finish. Very long and beautiful. Best after 2011. 2,500 cases made. Wine Spectator. A Sangiovese Grosso wine from Tuscany in Italy. 2004 La Rasina Brunello di Montalcino 750ml
