La Puerta Gran Reserva 2005
The art of blending is the cornerstone of the LA PUERTA Gran Reserva. Our winemaker has crafted this wine by choosing premium lots from grapes that thrive in our soils: Malbec (60%), Syrah (17%) and Bonarda (23%) to create this smooth and approachable ‘big red’. True to our winemaking philosophy, the Gran Reserva is a small-lot production of the highest quality, produced only in the best vintages.
Food Pairings for La Puerta Gran Reserva
This wine has an intense black-red color with purple hues. Aromas full of red fruits with hints of smoke reflecting its ageing in oak. Complex on the palate, well structured with a lengthy finish. Its rounded tannins show their presence and give it a unique character with a great balance and multi-layered finish.

Aged 6 months in French Oak.
Aged 6 months in American Oak.
Notes: Aging: 100% of the wine is aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. After bottling the wine is laid down to age for another 12 months.
