Beautiful in the glass--more red than purple. Woody, viny aroma. Very lean in the mouth. Satisfying wine, but difficult to characterize flavors.... Read more

Beautiful in the glass--more red than purple. Woody, viny aroma. Very lean in the mouth. Satisfying wine, but difficult to characterize flavors. More flavor in the back of the palate (spicy) than the front. I was concerned that this wine would not match as well with food as I had hope, but with my meal berry flavors do emerge. It stood up well to my grilled steak. $12.99 at Costco a couple weeks ago.

Ripe and flashy, with a showy layer of mocha leading the way for spice cake, raspberry and boysenberry fruit flavors laid over a lush, creamy finish. Dense but lithe, with the fruit echoing through the finish.

Don't be concerned if you find yourself inhaling deeply from your glass, over and over—it is just your nose's way of telling you that it wants its fair share! This is a medium-bodied and well-structured wine that is incredibly full of life and born to be enjoyed with food and friends.
