This wine "La Passion" is a second wine from the Estate and a rare find at that as it's from the stupendous 2009 vintage. A blend of 814% Merlot and 19% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in oak barrels 16 months. The wine shows a smooth, supple quality as bottle age has allowed the tannins to soften and the flavors to build. It's layered and complex with black cherry and currants, licorice and roasted coffee. Silky and lingering on the finish. It would be hard to find a Medoc '09 of this quality at any price, but this one is a steal. Don't miss it!
