Lovely. New to the whole "appreciate wine for being wine" thing, but this blows most of what i've had out of the water. Rich aroma, tangy too. Decent amount of tannins and a rich, dark medium full flavor. Something like dark cherry...reminds me of eating devils food cake. definitely worth a shot.

Bought a bottle for the table tonight at The Russian Tea Room. An absolute delight! Substantial and resonant while maintaining an appealing fruitiness. It had a splendid nose and drank divinely. Earned its 4-glass rating from me!
Sangiovese Nice ruby color, cherry and damp earth on the nose but falls completely on it's face when you taste it - very very flat. This wine is dead.

The 2004 Brunello di Montacino offers up dark red fruit, flowers and spices in a soft, accessible style. This medium-bodied Brunello flows with beautiful length and ripe, finessed tannins. Clean, mineral notes frame the wine nicely. Anticipated maturity: 2009andndash;2019.
