La Grave-a-Pomerol Pomerol 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

This is a seductive wine from an estate that normally produces wines much lighter in style. In 2010, the La Grave a Pomerol displays plenty of cherry cola notes intermixed with hints of plum sauce, Asian spices, and loamy soil undertones. It is medium-bodied, round, generous and ideal for drinking over the next decade. (89pts) RobertParker.com

Château de la Grave:
This is a 14th century castle that was restored in the 19th century and now used as an upmarket guest house. The Bassereau family bought it in 1900 and it is now run by Philippe and Valerie Bassereau. There are 45 hectares of vines and a range of red, rose, white and sparkling Bordeaux wines are made. The estate should not be confused with Chateau La Grave in Pomerol.
