Clones 777, 115 and 114 were picked and vinified separately. We observed some very good stem ripening and chose to do about 45% whole cluster fermentation for this bottling. As with all our Pinots, cold soaks and primary fermentations were done in our open-top, modified dairy tanks. We buried the whole clusters in tank with de-stemmed fruit and then did gentle punch-downs, so as not to disturb the carbonic maceration of the whole berries beneath the cap.

Tannins are smooth and sweet on the palate, with acidity, savory and hickory building to the finish of equal parts fruit, earth and wood. An opulent Pinot with luxuriant mouthfeel and weight.
