La Fenetre a Cote Rose 2010
Winemaker's Notes:
"A great expression of Santa Barbara. The wine is a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. This is a traditional blend in champagne, though this wine is without bubbles. Most of the Chardonnay in this wine hails from the Los Alamos Vineyard, which imparts minerality, and loads of citrus and acidity. The Pinot Noir gives the wine a more lush mouth-feel as well as aromas and flavors of red berry. While fresh and delicious, the wine does have an earthy backbone which makes it a perfect pairing year round, but especially great with summer fare." - winemaker's notes

In the tradition of the legendary Burgundian negociants I purchase the fruit for my wines from growers with exacting standards and extremely high quality, as well as respect for the land and its health in the future. The terroir of the central coast is unmistakable, and the wines from this region possess intense flavor and unique character.
I hope to share a glass of La Fenêtre with you soon!
