User Reviews for La Famiglia di Robert Mondavi Moscato Blanco California
Add your reviewSmall bubbles in the glass with a nectar yellow color. Very sweet nose with hints of vanilla and peach. Heavy bodied with an almost syrup mouth feel. Hits you with a kick of sweetness but does not overpower the palate. Tastes of peach/apricot, vanilla, and pear with a slight champagne backing that is distinctive to Moscato. Delicious desert wine and wonderful to share with someone special.

Winemaker Notes - The 2009 Moscato d Oro is a study in exotic floral aromas of pink jasmine and lemon blossoms overlapping tropical notes of guava and lychee. The palate s plush, abundant stone fruit flavors are complemented by shades of orange and spice and cleansed by a refreshing, citrusy finish. Crafted solely from Muscat Canelli grapes grown in our Wappo Hill Vineyard in Napa Valley s Stags Leap District.

Crafted solely from Muscat Canelli grapes grown in our Wappo Hill Vineyard in Napa Valley's Stags Leap District, this wine is a decadent finale to a meal, whether sipped alone or paired with lightly sweet desserts and mild, creamy cheeses. - Winery
Still with some spritz, this is a sweet, but not too sweet, clean and vibrant wine. with rich flavors of apricots and vanilla. The effervescence should disappear in time.
As I stated earlier, Mondavi has launched an Italian varietal campaign, with good rather that sublime results. It has produced an aromatic, intense, moderately sweet yet crisp and beautifully constructed 1995 Moscato d'Oro... Mondavi's answer to the gorgeous Moscatos of Piedmont, Italy. It is a lovely, rich wine that should be over the next 1-2 years.
