28% of the production. 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 82% Merlot. The color is super dark inky purple almost black and opaque. There s a purity of fruit that is consistent in St. Estephe of blackberry perfume with underlying mineral gravelly stony earthy components. There s a sweet entry of blackberry and plum compote that builds with plus concentration of fruit and finishes with tannins that are so well integrated I hardly notice them. Andy Frieden.
The second wine, the 2009 La Dame de Montrose, is an amazing blend of 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon. Voluptuously textured, super juicy, and sexy with intense blue and black fruits, decent acids, and silky tannin, this 2009 is already irresis... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 La Dame de Montrose 750ml
The Dame de Montrose 2009 has an aromatic nose full of berries, currant and citrus fruit, following through to a full body. The palate is firm, compact and powerful with wonderfully succulent and ripe tannins. Notes of orange peel combine with the voluptuous texture, juiciness and acidity followed by a long finish that will mellow with age. This is a very attractive, irresistible wine that will keep for at least 10-15 years.
