This is the oft touted Pinot Noir from Sonoma. A big wine with a strong nose of oak, earth, and cherries. On the palate, cherries, tobacco, and new oak. Also has a very nice chocolate undertone. The star of this Pinot, though, is the velvety tannins and long finish. The wine has medium plus complexity with well balanced acidity. I wish this could be an everyday drinker, although at $20/bottle its not yet in my range.

Oh.My.God. Is that what Pinot Noir is supposed to taste like? An overall overwhelming experience. The Nose is earthy and hints at what is to come. The palate...so subtle...I'm too inexperienced to pick out the indvidual notes...but hugely pleasing. The back end...an exclamation point, which lingers enough to entice you for the next sip. The weaker ears should avert their eyes...an orgasm in every glass. I can only hope that it doesn't get any better than this (or do I?).

A very good bottle. Very well balanced and a pleasing finish. The finish is so good that it almost prevents me from taking another sip. Almost.

Had this with Thanksgiving dinner, yesterday, We also had some Chardonnay, Cabernet and Beaujolais Nouveau. So, any evaluation I offer would be quite tanted. I have to say, though, that I thought it was the best wine we had.

Redolent with layered, beautifully nuanced aromas of fresh Morello cherries, violets and black licorice. Vibrant red plum and cranberry join in on the palate, with notes of tea leaves, orange zest and cocoa. A juicy, complex mid-palate leads to a lengthy spice-driven finish.

This exceptional release offers up vibrant red cherry aromas that mingle with alluring cola, sweet spice and coffee bean tones. The palate is generous - re ecting this vintage's near-perfect ripening conditions. Brambly fruit avors combine with black licorice and classic earthy notes. Excellent concentration and mature, beautifully textured tannins create a broad, supple mouthfeel that lingers well into the back palate. - ELIZABETH GRANT-DOUGLAS, WINEMAKER Type of Oak: 98% French (26% new) Medium, medium-plus toast levelsTime in Barrel: 6 monthsAlcohol: 13.9%T.A.: 0.56g / 100mLpH: 3.74R.S.: 0.06 g/ 100mL

Presents a tight beam of cherry-laced gravel, dried herb and cedar notes, ending clean and vibrant. Drink now through 2020.

A standard for large production Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, what's really impressive about La Crema is that while the wine doesn't skimp on quality. Lots of pretty plumpy fruit with allspice notes and juicy acidity.

Fresh aromas of raspberry, red cherry, nutmeg and cola. The bright cherry/raspberry flavors and lively acidity carry the mouthfeel with accents of plum and subtle mineral nuances
