User Reviews for La Crema Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Add your reviewOh.My.God. Is that what Pinot Noir is supposed to taste like? An overall overwhelming experience. The Nose is earthy and hints at what is to come. The palate...so subtle...I'm too inexperienced to pick out the indvidual notes...but hugely pleasing. The back end...an exclamation point, which lingers enough to entice you for the next sip. The weaker ears should avert their eyes...an orgasm in every glass. I can only hope that it doesn't get any better than this (or do I?).
A very good bottle. Very well balanced and a pleasing finish. The finish is so good that it almost prevents me from taking another sip. Almost.
Had this with Thanksgiving dinner, yesterday, We also had some Chardonnay, Cabernet and Beaujolais Nouveau. So, any evaluation I offer would be quite tanted. I have to say, though, that I thought it was the best wine we had.

The 2011 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir opens with lovely, vibrant aromas of cherry pie and sassafras, supported by subtle earth tones and hints of rose petal and vanilla. Vibrant pomegranate and cranberry join in on the palate, with notes of black licorice, esp
Pinot Noir develops beautifully in the cool vineyards of the Sonoma Coast. Extending from the Mendocino/Sonoma border down along the coast and through the Russian River Valley, then south to Los Carneros, these vineyards are unified by a common feature: lingering ocean fog and brisk winds that moderate temperatures throughout the growing season and slow the ripening process. The results at harvest are small Pinot Noir berries with firm acidity and highly concentrated varietal aromas and flavors that center on juicy cherry and spice.A perennial favorite, this Pinot Noir offers aromas of lush cherry and red plum, with subtle hints of black tea and cola. On the palate, flavors are ripe and elegant, centering on red cherry and spice with a touch of earthiness and dark chocolate. A rich, juicy mid-palate and vivid acidity lead to plush tannins on the finish. The result is a fabulous, appealing food wine - enjoy. - WineryAPPELLATION: Sonoma CoastCOMPOSITION: 100% Pinot NoirTIME IN B...
A standard for large production Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, what's really impressive about La Crema is that while the wine doesn't skimp on quality. Lots of pretty plumpy fruit with allspice notes and juicy acidity.
Redolent with layered, beautifully nuanced aromas of fresh Morello cherries, violets and black licorice. Vibrant red plum and cranberry join in on the palate, with notes of tea leaves, orange zest and cocoa. A juicy, complex mid-palate leads to a lengthy spice-driven finish.
