Food Pairings for La Crema Reserve Pinot Noir
Plum and cherries with some herby flavors.
I hope it was this one, not sure whixh la crema
Light and fresh-looking with violet and garnet hues. The nose had inviting aromas of ripe raspberry, tea, and dried herbs. Cherries and spice fill the palate, rounded out by earth and underbrush. The oak influence was more pronounced on the palate with notes of vanilla and cedar. The La Crema has a light body, a good acidic backbone, and delicate tannins that linger for quite a while, along with cherry and vanilla oak flavors. very nice, altho i'm not sure which year mine was.
A great start, smooth
Good wine. We like it but not as rich as we want. If we get a good price we buy it for every day.
Spicy, fruity and depth are what I like about this wine. Have been disappointed with the 2007 but all other vintages since 2005 are great. I would drink this wine everyday with excitement.
External Reviews for La Crema Reserve Pinot Noir
The 2009 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is outstanding. Its medium ruby color is followed by aromas of loamy soil intermixed with sweet black cherries, raspberries and plums. This medium-bodied, elegant, flavorful Pinot is already endearing and should continue to drink well for 2ndash;3 years.
The Pinot Noirs include the very good 2007 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast (200,000 cases), which exhibits crisp, plum, cherry, and allspice characteristics along with good body and an attractive, fragrant style. It should drink nicely for 3ndash;4 years.
Aromas of sweet cherries, cocoa and spice waft up even before you bring the glass to your nose, and you are not disappointed when you finally take the wine into your mouth. Juicy, rich, ripe fruits dominate the palate, gently tempered by a toasty spice. A classic California Pinot, perfectly balanced without the over-the-top alcohol levels many seem to have these days. This is a real crowd pleaser mdash; soft and fruity, yet dry and food-friendly. An all-around wonderful wine!
A warm, fleshy pinot noir, this has superripe flavors of blackberry jam and orange bitters. The warmth brings up a rasp in the tannin, suited to prime rib.
Rich berry-cherry, cola and raspberry fruit flavors mark this young wine. It's dry and stylishly elegant, and shows a certain aloof complexity. Almost rustic in scoury acidity and tannins, but it could develop bottle finesse in another 2-3 years.
Therersquo;s a fineness to the raspberry and fraises des bois flavor in this wine, with the crisp impression of fruit just coming into ripeness. The aroma is floral and tight, the finish showing more oak than fruit at the moment, needing a year in bottle to come into balance.
The medium-bodied, crisp 2008 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast (200,000 cases produced) is a straightforward, light ruby-colored Pinot displaying tart pomegranate and cherry fruit intermixed with notions of herbs and underbrush. It is ideal for uncritical quaffing, over the next 2ndash;4 years.
The 2009 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir offers aromas of lush cherry and red plum, with subtle hints of black tea and cola. On the palate, flavors are ripe and elegant, centering on red cherry and spice with a touch of earthiness and dark chocolate. A rich, juicy mid-palate and vivid acidity lead to plush tannins on the finish.
A lovely expression of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir: aromas of black cherry and vanilla bean are joined by hints of plum, black licorice and sassafras. The palate tends toward hedonistic, with vivid blackberry, cocoa and spice over a noticeably plush texture. Broad tannins lead to a lingering, juicy fruit finish.
