La Crema Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2016

Winemaker's Notes:

"This wine is made in decent quantities, enough to hopefully find, and that's good news, given its quality for the price. Juicy, spicy and just the right amount of herbal, it has sizzling acidity that livens and refreshens the palate, dotted in chocolate-covered cherry, plum and clove." --The Wine Enthusiast*Wine Enthusiast rated: 93 pts.*

Warm and light on its feet, this opens with baking spice and ripe cherry aromas, cinnamon and some black pepper spice to complement the fruit. In the mouth, it's creamy and silky, with elegant dark cherry fruit around the edges of a round fullness showing some cocoa and licorice.

Light and fresh-looking with violet and garnet hues. The nose had inviting aromas of ripe raspberry, tea, and dried herbs. Cherries and spice fill the palate, rounded out by earth and underbrush. The oak influence was more pronounced on the palate with notes of vanilla and cedar. The La Crema has a light body, a good acidic backbone, and delicate tannins that linger for quite a while, along with cherry and vanilla oak flavors. Good wine. We like it but not as rich as we want. If we get a good price we buy it for every day.

Vivid, bright and balanced. A lovely expression of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir: aromas of black cherry and vanilla bean are joined by hints of plum, black licorice and sassafras. The palate tends toward hedonistic, with vivid blackberry, cocoa and spi

The 2009 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is outstanding. Its medium ruby color is followed by aromas of loamy soil intermixed with sweet black cherries, raspberries and plums. This medium-bodied, elegant, flavorful Pinot is already endearing and should continue to drink well for 2ndash;3 years.

The outstanding 2009 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley (from newer Dijon clones such as 667, 777 and 115) reveals classic Anderson Valley notes of flowers, blueberries and raspberries. Medium-bodied with excellent purity, flesh and texture, this is a delicious Pinot to enjoy over the next 4-5 years.

'The 2006 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir opens with engaging aromas of ripe, round cherry, floral notes, spicy clove and licorice. Cherry continues in the mouth, melding with rich plum, orange peel and tea leaves over a mouth-watering jamminess. Balanced acidity and firm tannins round out a long, lingering finish.' - Melissa Stackhouse, La Crema Winemaker
