User Reviews for La Crema Pinot Noir Los Carneros
Add your reviewThis was part of a Sonoma County trip to Healdsburg/Russian River for some wine tasting fun! Good nose. Light and smooth with hints of dark cherry, minerality and spices. This was overall great except for the good finish with bitter tannins. For more please visit http://dionyshius.blogspot.com/2012/07/russian-river-healdsburg.html
This was part of a Sonoma County trip to Healdsburg/Russian River for some wine tasting fun! This had more of a stronger fruity nose. Fruit forward with hints of berries and cherries, this was a little flat and could use more acid especially with the strong tannins and good spices. Lingers for awhile. A good, drinkable wine. Someone described it as a wine to bring to someone's house.
This is one of my favorite under $30 staples. I must have one of these in my collection at a given moment. Fabulously delicious.
I tried this as a desperate attempt to experience a $60 wine for under 30. Success!!!
first had this in Lone pine on a shoot...Loved it ever since best Pinot Noir for under $50...sometimes can be found at costco...good deal
External Reviews for La Crema Pinot Noir Los Carneros
Rating: 87/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the October 2010 issue. Middling in depth and middling in focus and always finding just enough fruit at its heart to gain commendation, this wine mixes ripe cherry notes with a hint of vineyard soils and a whisper of a green twig element in its aromas. Piquant red cherry fruit follows a slightly rounded entry, and the wine stays on the bright, just a tad tight side all the way to the end.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.

Winemaker Notes - Aromas of ripe cherry, cocoa, anise and rich baking spices. Plush flavors of cherry, plum and pomegranate meld with hints of delicate tea leaf. Structured, balanced acidity and elegant, firm tannins round out the mouth.
