Winemakers Notes
"Los Carneros Pinot is a subtly complex masterpiece The 2007 offers brooding earthy aromas of dark cherry and forest floor with a touch of spice Flavors continue with ripe black plum hints of coffee and cocoa surrounded by a soft velvety texture that ends in a fleshy long finish
Editorial Reviews
Rating: 90/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 10/09. There's a fineness to the raspberry and fraises des bois flavor in this wine, with the crisp impression of fruit just coming into ripeness. The aroma is floral and tight, the finish showing more oak than fruit at the moment, needing a year in bottle to come into balance.
Rating: 83/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 04/09. This wine is oaky and sweet, with lasting plum and cherry flavors. For burgers.
Vineyard Notes
Los Carneros is the most southern of our Appellation Series Pinot regions. Straddling the Napa / Sonoma County line, the Los Carneros hills roll up from the San Pablo Bay. The unique factor here is wind - a relentless cooling force that charges up the rolling hillsides. Our Los Carneros vineyards are just three miles from the bay, so the constant cooling influence of wind and fog allow the fruit ample time on the vine to develop full, concentrated flavors and velvety texture.

Reviews for 2007 Vintage
A good, drinkable wine. Someone described it as a wine to bring to someone's house.
This is one of my favorite under $30 staples. I must have one of these in my collection at a given moment. Fabulously delicious.
I tried this as a desperate attempt to experience a $60 wine for under 30. Success!!!
Absolutely delicious--great balance and full of fruit. I could drink this one every day!
first had this in Lone pine on a shoot...Loved it ever since best Pinot Noir for under $50...sometimes can be found at costco...good deal
Sip of somewhat green grape but not with biterness. This wine is very unique of complex of white and red wine. Fresh fruitness plus little bit of oak taste. If you eat with salad with raspberry or lightly smoke meat, it will be one of the best choice for you. With this price, I hope you store this in your house or restaurant for your happiness.
Bright garnet hue, aromas of red stone fruits, flavor notes of cherries, red plums and raspberries driven with good acidity and framed in buttery vanilla. Bright and rich, this effort is nicely balanced and easy to enjoy.
Great with Italian food. Not too bitey. $39 on Celebrity Cruiseline.
Nice, pleasing fruit aroma. Very smooth throughout. Nice berry taste with some hints of oak.
