Great every day Chardonnay. Aroma of honey, butterscotch and light tropical fruit. Taste has soft pear, honey with a decent length in the finish.
Medium to Light bodied Chardonnay with a distinct finish. I could pick out a predominant flavor of butterscotch with hints of citrus and spices. I had this wine with Thanksgiving and felt it went well with buttery, garlic mashed potatoes and Brussle sprouts. Very enjoyable Chardonnay!
A very enjoyable chardonnay, not too oaky
Not bad but bit sweet for me.
The best way I can describe this is that it is smooth and rich with little to no acidity that one is accustomed to finding in chardonnays. Pear and honey were very apparent and I don't typically like this type of wine. This one was delicious though and I even bought a bottle. I opened it 2 days later.
This is a dependable moderately priced table wine/chard. The best varietal I've had by La Crema
Buttery and rich. I love it.
External Reviews for La Crema Chardonnay Sonoma Coast
The nose is expressive, showing full aromas of ripe pear, apple, and a touch of spice. On the palate you get a creamy, smooth texture that carries forward, ripe pear fruit with a good dose of vanilla spice and oak and a faint touch of honey. However the oak is not overpowering - it's right on. The ripeness is most apparent upfront, but carries through the midpalate and stays through the finish, which is appropriate in length, polished, and subdued. This wine can be described to a neophyte as smooth, buttery, and ripe.
"Our goal is to truly convey the Russian River terroir. This wine offers aromas of fresh pear, butterscotch and hazelnut with appealing hints of vanilla and spice. Juicy flavors of yellow apple, honeysuckle and lemon butter lead to a rich, toasty finish." - Melissa Stackhouse, La Crema Winemaker
