What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Citrus aromas lemon peel and green apple are balanced with clove and subtle vanilla in the background. Flavors of green apple lemon and lime with an unctuous middle with spice and caramel that add richness and texture to the lingering finish.

I agree with the poster above - light, yet creamy. Lots of notes of fruit (apple, pear) and wonderful with crudites!

A bit restrained, with leafy, green apple, honeysuckle, mint and lime flavors that combine to offer complexity. Excellent value. .
From this red-hot AVA, this exciting Chard rocks with bold, penetrating fruit. You can taste the cool ocean tang, which coaxed out apples and citrus, while winemaker bells and whistles, such as barrel fermentation and sur lie aging, provide welcome complexities. They completed the malolactic fermentation, which softens the wine a bit but makes it buttery and creamy.

Not a huge fan of white wines, but if my hand was forced, La Crema would definitely would be on my short list. Creamy, oaky, buttery with a slight taste of citrus fruit, this is great wine to have on hand.
