Add your review30 min air time. Smooth, well-integrated, hearty, and balanced (however the balance tends to favor rich-tasting plummy, berry, smoky fruit). More tasty than aromatic. Nose of smoke, earthy dried fruit, compost, and a bit of fruit. Initial pulse of acid around the edge of the tongue, followed by rich ripe fruit (dark plum, blackberry, hints of strawberry) that feels warm and wet on the tongue. Finishes of smoke, wood, and bitter leather, which fades to wood after a time. Medium plus acid and body, medium tannins. Dry to off-dry. Would probably pair well with Italian meat dishes.
