($60) Intense dark garnet. Beautifully delineated dark berry and cinnamon scents engage the nose, followed by wonderfully fresh and pure flavors of ripe plum, cherry, and anise in the mouth. A kirsch-like nuance adds to the wine appeal. Quite lush, layered and complex, with ripe, smooth tannins and a long, sweet finish. A deeply satisfying wine. (Elisabeth Imports, Denver, CO)
