The best Nebbiolo I have ever tried outside of Italy. The 2003 is even better.
My wife and I have traveled throughout Italy and tasted many, many of her best bottles. Back in 2004 we accidentally stumbled upon the La Cetto Vineyard in the Guadalupe Valley of the northern Baja in Mexico while passing through on a cruise. Instant love affair with the 1999 vintage at the time and we still love this wine and have it shipped to the house to this day some seven years after the fact. Very, very good old world wine for those that like their wine a wee bit on the bold side. For the uninformed Mr. Cetto moved to the Baja from Italy several decades ago bringing with him his beloved Nebbiolo, and as they say, "the rest is history!" 02/02/11, 4:48 PM
