Kwv Sauvignon Blanc 2009
The cool coastal climate of the Durbanville Wine Valley is considered the premier region for Sauvignon Blanc. In face, the largest concentration of Sauvignon Blanc vines in South Africa is planted in Durbanville. KWV selects the grapes for their Sauvignon Blanc from Durbanville and from the cooler sections of the famed Stellenbosch region. The grapes are crushed and the juice in left in contact with the skins for about eight hours. It is fermented dry and stabilized under temperature controlled conditions in order to maintain the fresh fruity character of the grapes.

This dry, white wine has an abundance of fresh fruit and green grassy aromas that transfer nicely to the palate. The flavors are balanced with lively acidity that enhances the complexity and gives the wine a lingering, crisp finish.
