Kwv Red Blend Roodeberg 2003
I opened this bottle with one of my best friends. His first words were,"Whoo! That is a deviant bastard!" I think that is a good way to describe it. It is a strong, full-bodied wine. My first thought was,"Wow. This would be amazing with a steak."Add winemaker's notes
Roodeberg winery was established by Dr. Charles Niehaus in Paarl, South Africa in the late 1940s. It’s named for the granite outcrop on the Boland mountains that casts a red hue during sunset. Now overseen by Thys Loubser, the winery is best known for red and white blends.

This wine is truely a diamond in the rough. With over a 50 year period this wine has become a benchmark for the Western Cape wine region of South Africa. Fruity, full flavoured with soft tennins, this wine can be enjoyed anytime but best with friends.
Should be AT LEAST 4 years old before you open it. Dry, rich, strong blend. Delicious.
Great wine. Nice strong body. Full flavour
