Kurt Darting Riesling Kabinett Dürkheimer Michelsberg 2001

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

A nice nose with incipient petrol, beeswax, blue slate, smoke and a touch of raspberry jam. Bit of co2 still, soft with obvious sugar and a touch sweet for Kabinett but developing well with a wonderful core of candied pear fruit and juicy sweet citrus tones on the finish. 2008-2015

really nice apricot nose with a hint of bland tobacco, very big for a kabinett, this is no kabinett, well integrated acidty, honied entry, good mineral cut leading to a citrussy finish of medium length. Very easy and expansive in the mouth. May improve but delicious now. Not a particularly good kabinett but a pretty good Spat that could pass for an Auslese.
