This year some new vines in the Magnolia Lane block gave us an opportunity to expand our repertoire of winemaking techniques. Cold skin contact of crushed green-ripe fruit gave us more gooseberry, lemon-lime and spearmint flavors. These lots we combined with a higher proportion of barrel-fermented wines from higher Brix, ‘yellow-ripe' fruit to produce a broad range of sauvignon blanc flavors in this rich, full-flavored, yet graceful wine. -David Noyes, Winemaker
